die Schönheit des Simplexen

Alex hat mir eine wunderbare CD geschenkt. Eine live-Aufnahme einer „worship and warfare“-konferenz von morningstar. Das erste Lied geht 26Minuten lang und ist eigentlich eine Art Collage aus mehreren Songs und Prophetie usw., wie das bei solchen Sachen halt so ist. Ich muss zugeben dass ich mir so etwas nicht immer geben kann aber es gibt Zeiten, in denen ich es einfach brauche. Jedenfalls hat mich dieses erste Stück echt SEHR berührt und tut es noch. Es ist von Leonard Jones, einem Anbetungsleiter den ich vorher nicht kannte.
Wie das so ist wollte ich gerne mal sehen, wie der so aussieht, habe nach ihm gegooglet und bin auf seinen Blog gestossen. Einen Eintrag würde ich hier gerne zitieren, weil er eine Wahrheit enthält die jeder von uns immer wieder hören muss:

I was scheduled to speak at our staff chapel yesterday, so I thought I would bring my guitar along and maybe do some prophetic worship also. As I was thinking about what I would do, a picture came to my mind of the way Jason Upton gets up to the mic with this awesome voice and powerful anointing, and God just comes. Then I thought about how Don Potter strums a couple of chords, starts singing prophetically, and we all come undone. By that time, instead of getting excited, all I wanted to do was give up, because I cannot do what they can do. The deal is this–there will always be someone better at something than you or me, but we can’t let it intimidate us into doing nothing.
